A hard-fought season with a thrilling finale.
The 2025 World Diam Tour France has wrapped up after an intense and highly contested season. The tour featured six stops, enriching the circuit with two new destinations this year: Brest and Saint-Malo.
The final showdown played out in Quiberon Bay during the Challenge An Avel Braz in Saint-Philibert, followed by the Diam YCCA Trophy in Le Crouesty, delivering a finale worthy of the year-long suspense.
Saint-Philibert & Le Crouesty: The deciding battles
In Saint-Philibert, crews tackled a series of buoy races in strong winds on a demanding course with incredibly tight margins. At Le Crouesty, the suspense continued thanks to efficient race management that alternated between buoy racing and coastal raids in Quiberon Bay, solidifying the hierarchy just before the final general classification.
Fastnet: 2025 WDT France Champions
After six events, Team Fastnet (Loïc Escoffier, Benoit Champanhac, Frédérique Bouyault, and Victorien Erussard) claimed the 2025 World Diam Tour France crown. With three stage victories and remarkable consistency, the crew from Saint-Malo successfully defended their title.
Behind them, the battle raged until the very last heat: Opteamwork (Xavier Pierre Dubos, Martin Chavanon, and Louis Couraud) took second place, tied on points with Andiamo (Vincent Bouvier, Matéo Chevrier, Timoté Chimienti, Gildas Lemoine, Thibault Masurel, and Thomas Menou), who completed the podium.
A solid fleet poised for growth
The 2025 edition brought together 9 teams and 49 sailors throughout the season. The Class aims to boost these numbers, driven by:
-
Unmatched shared logistics provided by the boatyard.
-
A renowned spirit of sportsmanship.
-
The constant dedication of organizing clubs and race committees.
