World Diam Tour France – 2025 Season
What is it? Who is it for? How to try it out? What services and features are included?
- The concept
The World Diam Tour France is a circuit of six three-day events, organized every 3 to 4 weeks, with a summer break. All crews sail the same boat, the Diam24od, a strict one-design.
The racing program alternates between raids, inshore courses, and passage races, including must-see events and iconic locations for themed sailing.
Rankings are based on cumulative points, with an overall ranking at each event, and for the entire season, two standings: one by Team (Gold, Silver, Bronze Diam) and one for Individual Competitors, encouraging participants to commit and improve throughout the season.
For each event, photos are taken and made available to the teams.
The schedule is currently being finalized — see the draft.
The spirit of the WDT is to embrace all advances that make competitive sailing easier to practice while avoiding their drawbacks:
-
Maximize time spent on the water
-
Reduce travel, respect the environment, and limit excess
-
Sail while controlling budgets
-
Share moments of competition and conviviality
The WDT is an excellent incubator of experience for those who wish to sail fast boats.
-
Who is it for?
-
You’re a Youth Team within a club: you’re missing training or towing licenses, you don’t have a technician, your program is clearly defined — we can handle logistics and boat maintenance for you.
-
You’re a passionate amateur, with or without multihull experience: come and discover the simplicity of the boat, the fun it brings in all wind angles, and how thrilling high-speed racing can be.
-
You’re a pro team: your sailors could spend more time sailing, and you’d like to outsource non-core activities — we can handle logistics and maintenance.
How to build your crew?
Building a solid team is perhaps the main key to success: in one-design racing, people make the difference more than gear.
The circuit rules allow flexible crew management, with three or four sailors per boat, enabling teams to adjust for weight and skills and ensure consistent performance throughout the season. Like in football, you need a larger squad.
If you’re a crew member, you can sail with multiple teams across events, helping you progress faster.
D-Crew, the Diam24od crew exchange platform, helps connect crews and sailors, and complements the class’s WhatsApp group.
How to test it on a weekend?
Take advantage of the “Special Discovery Weekend” offer to meet the class, experience the vibe, the boat, and the joy of competitive sailing.
In conclusion: The Diam24od class has trained many young sailors who reached high or even elite levels — and that’s still true today.
There’s a great atmosphere on land, and on the water there are three groups: 3–4 top-level boats, 3–4 that have learned a lot and keep gaining experience, and new entrants still finding consistency. In 2024, every team won at least one race.
With no foils, a solid design, and good speed, it’s a robust, affordable, and relevant boat.
